Birel and RK drivers go for the U.S.A. podium in all classes.
It is time for WSK World Series to quit Europe after the first race held at Portimao circuit, and head for Millville, 60 Km from Atlantic City. This town is the location of the New Jersey Motorsports Park, which is set close to the Municipal Airport, where World War II American pilots used to train flying Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter aircrafts.
The grand racing facility, 2.8 sq km, features two tracks. The largest, the Thunderbolt Raceway (3620 metres long) is named after such aircrafts. Just next to it is the other circuit, the Lighting Raceway (3060 metres), which hosts the karting race. Following the 1st top class (SKF) seasonal appointment, all the best drivers must now tackle De Vries' amazing performances. Yet, head of classification will be exciting as usual with Cesetti and Toman flanked by RK team new acquisition Matteo Viganò.
The Birel-BMB synergy has clearly show all its potential throughout the season, and official team drivers Barrabeig and Lennox want to get right onto the podium; the same for RK team representative Karol Basz. Championship wise, the toughest opponents will include current leader Chris Lock and Luke Varley, as well as Italian driver D'Agosto.
Sorensen will race for victory in KF3 and challenge Portugal champion, Robert Visoiu from Romania. Once again WSK World Series will be completed by great Motorsport events: after the Portuguese weekend with the World Touring Car Championship, the New Jersey WSK World Series will be paired up with the penultimate Ferrari Challenge North America appointment of the season.
The event will be raced by American drivers on Ferrari F430s. The Ferrari Historic Challenge, reserved to the most prestigious racing cars from the Maranello based Builder, will complete the picture.
The race can be followed also in Europe thanks to the usual
REAL TIME time timing service.
Qualification leg is scheduled on Saturday, Finals on Sunday 1 August.
