NATIONAL KARTING CHAMPIONSHIPS GERMANY (AMPFING, DKM CHAMPIONSHIP) - ITALY (VITERBO, OPEN MASTER), 18 JULY 2010

TOP PERFORMANCES FOR BIREL DRIVERS IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

German victories for Sorensen  who win in KF3 one race in advance and Jager (KF2). Vigorito (RK - KF3) protagonist of the Italian Open Masters weekend

A clear picture of chassis and kart engines competitiveness is given by the results of the national championships held throughout the world.

As a matter of fact, such Series does not involve the official race divisions of the single builders, but teams connected to importers, which employ standard technical material. Such peculiarity allows best assessment of the standard production of each single brand on the market, and clearly highlights all the value of the Birel-BMB combination.

A synergy which was in the in the spotlight both in Germany and in Italy last weekend. In particular, in German main series DKM, Birel drivers were on all steps of the KF3 podium: Christian Sorensen (Birel-BMB) sporting Solgat Motorsport colours won preceding Walilko (KSB on Birel-BMB) and Marschall (Solgat team on Birel -Tm).

Positive race also for Russian driver Pronenko (Solgat team), with 8th place on Birel-Tm. The icing on the cake for the excellent Ampfing track weekend was Jager’s KF2 victory (Ksb team on Birel-BMB) in front of Lipp and Moller Madsen.

And it Italy, Birel group ran brilliantly at the 5th Open Championship held in Viterbo: great performance for   Gianni Vigorito (RK -BMB), 2nd in Race 1 and then 9th in Race-2, due to a contact occurred during the last lap.

The Italian now ranks 3rd in the Championship and the last race in Pomposa could be his opportunity for defeating Ippolito and Speedy. Birel team is also aiming at the 60 Mini junior category title with Sitnikov; in fact, with his two sixth places in Pomposa, the Russian racing for  Junior Team Birel is now 4th  championship wise and will race for final victory on the last appointment.

Marco Pizzuti was among KZ2 best drivers during the Viterbo weekend. A contact in start stage forced him to quit Race-1, in which he had took off 3rd , but he then regained positions, from 29th  to 5th , in Race-2.
