MATTEO VIGANÒ TO JOIN RK OFFICIAL TEAM

The italian driver will race in KF1 WSK World Series

Birel Group defines another detail just few days before WSK World Series official start off: Matteo Viganò will be upgraded from Birel – MGM team to official RK team.
And WSK World Series will be Viganò’s first challenge as part of the new team, which will run with BMB engines in SKF class. The agreement was made involving Birel management, Mgm team of Mauro Pozzi (who authorized the operation) and the driver, as the great commitment needed for this Series, including transfers to as many as three continents, called for more complex logistics than the usual European routine.
The decision was also backed by Viganò's eagerness to join the new team in pursuit of new stimuli and different technical partners. His international racing experience is long-standing, even though his debut in SKF took place just at the beginning of the current year with his participation in WSK Euro Series. Birel management highly trust his potential, as Ronni Sala stresses: “Apart from a short interval, Matteo has been racing for Birel colours since he first started in junior categories, building up an ever so solid collaboration with MGM team, crowned by plenty of success.
However, on World Series' eve, a number of obstacles were hampering his chance to run the championship.  This is why we deemed it useful to directly intervene with RK team. They can now boast a big name also in SKF, in addition to Basz in KF2 and Fuchs in KZ2.
No doubt Matteo is fast and knows all about our technical staff, therefore he will be at the top as early as in the first race. “- Enthusiastic comments on the new experience for Matteo Viganò, too: “I just cannot wait to face this new challenge and to work with RK and BMB technicians for the most outstanding karting championship.  My aim is to start off as a top driver right from the competition in Portimao, for a grand fresh start in my career.  Of course my gratitude goes to Mauro Pozzi and his team for all the excellent work we have carried out so far."
